Polypropylene fiber (PP fiber), with polypropylene as its raw material, this fiber is produced by special technology. The products have net-like structure with many fiber monofilaments. It is produced by direct spinning with polymer as the raw material. High tenacity, few defect,  good crimping performance, moderate OPU, low hot air shrinkage, good spin ability, soft and smooth hand feeling, high standards of fiber resultant yarn quality, low yarn irregularity and wide applications.

Polypropylene fiber is characterized by light texture, high strength, good elasticity, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and no pilling. The main defects are poor light and thermal stability, easy aging and poor dyeing performance

Polypropylene fibers can be divided into long fibers, short fibers, spunbonded non-woven fabrics, melt-blown non-woven fabrics and so on.
Polypropylene filament can be divided into ordinary filament and fine denier filament (single filament size < 2.2 dtex), which can be used to produce garment and decoration and some industrial filament products. Polypropylene fine denier fiber has good gloss, soft handle, good drapability and low density. It is suitable for knitting industry. When interwoven with cotton, viscose filament, silk and spandex into cotton-covered polypropylene, silk-covered polypropylene and other products, it is an ideal material for making high-grade sportswear and T-shirts.
The production process of polypropylene staple fibers is mostly porous, low-speed and continuous, that is, short spinning process. Polypropylene staple fiber and cotton blend, can be made into polypropylene cotton fine cloth, bed sheet, that is, fiber and viscose blend can be made into blankets, polypropylene pure and blended wool, polypropylene blanket, carpet, polypropylene cotton flocculent cigarette filter tip. The thickness of fibers for sanitary products is 1.5-2.5 dtex, while that for ground fabrics is 5-10 dtex. The length of the fibers is 1.5-200.0 mm, depending on the use of the fibers. The length of short fibers used as concrete is 1.5-200.0 mm, the length of diapers is 40.0 mm, and the length of ground fabrics is 60.0 mm.
Spunbonded nonwovens, also known as filament nonwovens, are formed by extrusion spinning, drawing, netting and bonding of polypropylene raw materials after melting. It has the characteristics of short process, low cost, high productivity, excellent product performance and wide use. Polypropylene non-woven fabric is widely used in various fields of production and life (such as disposable medical and health supplies, primary anti-fouling clothing, agricultural cloth, furniture cloth, lining of shoemaking industry, etc.).
The fibers produced by melt blown nonwovens are very fine (up to 0.25 micron). The melt blown fabric has large specific surface area, small porosity and large porosity. Therefore, its application characteristics such as filtration, shielding and oil absorption are difficult to possess by other non-woven fabrics produced by separate processes. Melt blown non-woven fabrics are widely used in medical and health care, heating materials, filter materials and other fields.
