Introduction to PolyPropylene Fiber (PP fiber)
Polypropylene fiber is the commercial name of polypropylene fiber, it is made of propylene as raw material by polymerization, melt spinning fiber. Polypropylene fiber officially began industrial production in 1957, is a rising star in synthetic fiber. 4. Hygroscopicity and coloration
The moisture absorption of pp is very small, almost no moisture absorption, and the moisture regain rate is close to zero under general atmospheric conditions. However, it has a core-absorption effect, and can transfer water vapor through the capillary tube in the fabric, but does not have any absorption effect. The dyeing property of polypropylene fiber is poor and the chromatogram is incomplete, but the method of original solution coloring can be used to make up the deficiency.
5. Acid and alkali resistance
Polypropylene fiber has a better resistance to chemical corrosion, in addition to the concentrated nitric acid, concentrated caustic soda, polypropylene acid and alkali resistance is good, so it is suitable for filtration materials and packaging materials.
6. Light fastness, etc
Polypropylene fiber light resistance is poor, thermal stability is also poor, easy aging, ironing resistance. However, the anti-aging property can be improved by adding anti-aging agent to the spinning process. In addition, polypropylene has good electrical insulation, but it is easy to produce static electricity during processing.
